A single packaged and sealed box of LifeStyles condoms or product can and may contain product from different LOT #’s and may have varied expiration dates. This is caused by differing counts of condoms allotted in our packaging. Strips of product produced will be cut in strips of 4 or 3 or Single foils for example. Later they are used to fill a box to proper count (30 count, 8 count 2-packs) and may not be the same production date as another strip of condoms included in the same packaging. Mixed packs of condoms will always contain different lot numbers and expiry dates. We will always use the earliest expiry on the retail box. Always check expiration dates before use for you and your partner’s protection.

Our products may have 2 lot numbers associated with them. We have one, which is our packaging lot number, and this can be found on the bottom of our retail carton. This indicates to us the month, year, shift and location of the packaging of the product. We have another, which is our manufacturing lot number, and this can be found on the back of the individual condom wrapper. This indicates month, year, shift and location of when the product was manufactured. If you would like confirmation that the product is not counterfeit or “fake’, please never hesitate to reach out to us, with the lot numbers, and we will be glad to confirm this information for you.

Locate the LOT# on the back of the condom wrapper foil. You can see an example of what a LOT# looks like in the example of a LOT# breakdown below.

SKYN condoms and lubricants do not contain Nonoxynol-9. Though the use of Nonoxynol-9 was previously widespread across the world, products containing N9 – as it is also known – have never been manufactured or sold under the SKYN brand. The World Health Organisation has stated that “there is no evidence that condoms lubricated with N9 are more effective in preventing pregnancy than lubricated condoms without N9”. Furthermore, the compound can cause irritation and retard the healing of wounds with which it has been in contact.
-
Yes. The flavourings used for our flavoured condoms are food grade and our lubricants are made with ingredients safe for human ingestion. However, you should always use a new condom if you switch between oral, vaginal or anal intercourse.
-
Yes. All our condoms – including ribbed and studded varieties – are suitable for use during anal sex. To increase comfort and safety, using plenty of lube (and patience) is always recommended.
-
Our condoms should be stored below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
-
No method of contraception can ever be 100% effective. However, when used correctly, condoms offer the best protection against STI and are 98% effective at preventing pregnancy. Choosing the correct fit of condom and using SKYN lubricant can further reduce the likelihood of breakage.
